Renewable Energy and Resource Efficiency

Uniflow Power Ltd is an unlisted public company based in Perth, Western Australia, dedicated to commercialising new technology in renewable energy, and in energy and resource efficiency.

HALO Seal

Uniflow Power is manufacturing and marketing the HALO Seal, a novel static sealing system for industrial pipe networks. The HALO Seal dramatically reduces the use and disposal of stainless steel over the life of a pipe system, while also providing high integrity sealing, reducing leaks and fugitive emissions. Initial sales in Australia and other territories will commence in the first quarter of 2011. Uniflow estimates the global market for static seals to conservatively be worth around $1 billion per annum. Uniflow is actively seeking international distributors for this product.

Uniflow Generator

Uniflow Power is completing the design for mass production of the Uniflow Generator, a small scale, biomass fuelled, combined heat and power, 5kW generator. In the last three years two advanced prototypes of the Uniflow Generator have been built for testing and development work. Hundreds of enquiries have already been received from all over the world for this simple but revolutionary approach to creating electricity using woody fuels and waste, such as coconut husk or sawdust. In 2009 more than $120 billion dollars was invested in new renewable energy generation around the world (excluding large hydro schemes).

Uniflow estimates the global investment in small scale renewable energy generation of all types between 2kW and 15kW be at least $18 billion per annum at present, most of which is being spent on photovoltaic systems, small wind power and pico-hydro systems. Uniflow is exploring all commercial options for launching is small biomass fuelled technology onto the market including licencing and joint ventures.
